Overview
Wageningen University & Research Center is a public research university situated in Wageningen, Netherlands. It is the only university in the Netherlands that focuses specifically on the theme ‘healthy food and living environment’. History
Wageningen University was established in 1918 as an agricultural college. Over the years, it has grown to become a full-fledged research university. In 2005, the university merged with the former agricultural research institute, DLO (Dienst Landbouwkundig Onderzoek), to form Wageningen University & Research Center. Today, it is recognized as one of the world’s top institutions of higher learning in the domain of agri-food research and education.
