Overview
Nanjing University (NJU) is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in China. It is located in the historical city of Nanjing, which is the capital city of Jiangsu Province. History
Nanjing University was first established in 1902 as Sanjiang Normal School. In 1915, it became National Southeast University, which was one of the top two national universities during the Republic of China era. After the establishment of the People’s Republic of China in 1949, it was merged with several other prestigious universities in China to form a new Nanjing University.
