Overview of Jilin University
Jilin University (JLU) is a prestigious public research university located in Changchun, Jilin Province, China. It was founded in 1946, and is considered as one of China’s top nine key universities conceived and supported by the Chinese Government as part of its major national higher education initiatives.
History
Jilin University was originally a merger of three universities in Jilin Province, namely the former Jilin University, the former Northeast College of Agricultural Administration and the former Bethune Medical University. In 1993, it was renamed Jilin University.
