Gebze Technical University (GTU) is a public research university located in Gebze, Kocaeli, Turkey. The university was founded in 1992 and is one of the top technical universities in Turkey. GTU offers undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs in engineering, science, and humanities.
Gebze Technical University was founded in 1992 as a state university with the mission to educate highly qualified professionals to meet the needs of the rapidly developing industry in Turkey. The university started with three faculties: Engineering, Science, and Arts and Sciences. Later, the university added new faculties and departments, and currently, it has 8 faculties and 4 vocational schools.
