Early Life and Education

Edward P. Roski, Jr. was born on July 21, 1938, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to parents Edward Roski, Sr. and Mary Roski. He grew up in San Marino, California, and attended Loyola High School in Los Angeles. He later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California in 1962.

Career and Achievements

After completing his education, Roski joined the U.S. Army Reserve as a Second Lieutenant and served for six years. In 1963, he joined his father’s company, Majestic Realty Co., as a general partner. He later became the president and CEO in 1974, and eventually the chairman of the Board of Directors.

Under Roski’s leadership, Majestic Realty Co. has become one of the most successful real estate companies in the U.S. The company’s focus on developing industrial parks has led to partnerships with major corporations such as Coca-Cola, Nestle, FedEx, and Amazon. In addition to real estate, Roski has also been involved in sports development, particularly in the National Football League.

Roski was instrumental in bringing professional football back to Los Angeles with the construction of the $2.6 billion Los Angeles Stadium at Hollywood Park. The stadium, which is set to open in 2020, will be the home of the Los Angeles Rams and the Los Angeles Chargers. He was also a key figure in the development of the Toyota Center, the home of the Houston Rockets.

Personal Life

Roski is married to Gayle Garner Roski and they have three children. He is known for his philanthropic activities and has donated millions of dollars to various educational and healthcare institutions. He serves on the Board of Trustees of the University of Southern California and also supports the City of Hope National Medical Center and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
