The company started as a petroleum distributor and expanded into the mining and chemical industries under Akhannouch’s leadership. In addition to his business ventures, Akhannouch has also served in the Moroccan government. He was the Minister of Agriculture from 2007 to 2021 and was reappointed to the position in 2021. During his tenure, he oversaw a modernization and expansion of Morocco’s agricultural sector.
