In 1985, he returned to Peru and founded the consulting firm, CRP Consulting. He later sold the firm and used the proceeds to launch a chain of supermarkets called Supermercados Santa Isabel.

In 1994, Rodriguez-Pastor founded Intercorp, which became one of Peru’s largest conglomerates, with interests in various sectors, including banking, healthcare, retail, and education.
