In 2002, he left Founder Electronics and started his own company, Shenzhen Goodix Technology Co. Ltd, which focused on designing and manufacturing semiconductor products, including integrated circuits and touchscreen controllers.

Under Pang’s leadership, Goodix became a major player in the global semiconductor industry. In 2017, the company went public on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, raising HK$4.2 billion (about US$540 million) in the process. Today, Goodix has more than 1,500 employees, with operations in China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and the United States.

In addition to his work at Goodix, Pang Kang has been active in a number of industry associations and organizations. He is a member of the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) in the United States, and he has been a keynote speaker at conferences and events around the world.
