Career and Achievements
Leonard Lauder joined the Estée Lauder Companies in 1958 and worked his way up through the company. He became the CEO of the company in 1982 and then the Chairman in 1995. During his time at the company, Lauder helped to expand its reach to over 150 countries and grew its revenue from $200 million in 1974 to over $8 billion in 2002. He retired from the company in 2009 but remained active as its Chairman Emeritus.
